Barry & Cecile's
FE Powered Galaxies

I get excited every time I see a cammer under the hood of any car, or truck. Greg Lennon's SOHC baby blue 1966 Gal is one heck of a head turning sleeper. It was originally a 352 powered automatic fastback car, from N.C. The color is the original "baby blue" with the only changes to the body being a fiberglass hood and homemade aluminum bumpers. Power comes from an original cammer block bored .020 over with J&E 12.5:1 pistons; Crower rods w/ Chrysler hemi size big ends; Ford steel crankshaft and aluminum heads w/ solid S/S valves. Transmission is the big toploader 4 speed w/ a recently installed McLeoud street twin clutch. Greg says "I hope it will take the abuse. My last clutch did not like the torque very much." Cooling is provided by a Ron Davis racing radiator that Greg says are very nice and he recommends them. Since the car weighs 3700 pounds and there is an abundance of under hood power to get it moving quickly, stopping is handled by 12" Wildwood discs in front with twin master cylinders with an adjustable balance bar.
Terry Dean  transported this "Black Plate" (non running) rust free car he calls "California Dreaming" from Los Angeles where it was built in late 1963 to Maryland where he resides. He did a complete frame off restoration about four years ago. He nosed and decked it and will remove the fender antenna this winter as a typical 60's mod. Other than that, the body is stock. The engine is a modified 390, running a mild Crane cam; modified oiling system w/HV pump; HD shaft; windage tray and 427 filter adapter w/ 1/2" passages plumbed to dual remote filters. Intake is Edelbrock aluminum w/ rebuilt tri-power setup w/ progressive linkage. fed by a Holley electric fuel pump. Ignition is a Mallory dual point dizzy with Mallory wires and BF-32 plugs. Exhaust is Hooker Super Comp, adjustable coated headers w/ complete home-made mandrel bent duals into DynoMax mufflers at the rear. Rear is 3.91 open w/ Lakewood traction bars, but the rear is being changed to a 4.11 Detroit Locker this winter. Trans is a 4-speed top loader. Wheels are Crager S/S (What else?)
It is with pleasure we present to you from New Jersey, Warren Kline's  1963 1/2 Galaxie with a 427 Center Oiler Stroker Motor. Motor is .017" over 427 w/ JE pistons; LeMans rods; CJ crank; Milodon pump& pan; Edelbrock heads & intake (ported & polished); Harland/Sharpe rockers; Demon carb; MSD distributor; Crites headers and Griffin radiator. Transmission is a 4 speed top loader w/ 2.78 first. Rear is a Detroit Locker with 3.70 gears. Dynoed @ 563 HP/537 Lbs. Ft. Torque.
Bill Ballinger's 1965 Ford. Right now it is a 352 with cruiso and 3.00 rear. Future plans call for a hot 390 with a T85N overdrive trans and some gears to compliment the OD. The trim isn't all on yet, so we are looking forward to it's completion.
Richard Metzger's '64 Galaxie is under construction, but is almost complete. Fiberglass front & rear bumpers;
hood; fenders and trunk lid; 14 point roll cage. Genesis 2 block 4.25" bore and Crankshaft Specialists billet 4.25" stroke for 482 c.i.d. Carrillo BBC con. rods; Venolia 14.5:1n pistons; Total Seal rings; Clevite main, rod, and cam bearings (coated.) Coated piston skirts; BHJ harmonic dampner. Ron Davis aluminum radiator w/ CSR electric water pump. Canton Custom oil pan. Dove Glidden High Riser heads w/Dove HD roller rocker arms , stands and end supports. Titanium 2.25" I /1.70" E valves Racer Brown .778 solid roller cam; Crower lifters; Smith Bros. 3/8 X 120 pushrods. Dove Parquet Dominator intake w/ 1300 King Demon fed by a Product Engineering 460 fuel pump. MSD crank trigger; Mallory tach drive; Moroso tach MSD digital 6 box & coil. MFR custom headers. Dynamic Converters C-6 rollerized w/5000 stall & trans brake and Chetah shifter . Rear is a Harwood nodular carrier w/ Moser spool; Daytona pinion support; 4.56 gears and 60" ladder bars. There are many more quality parts too numerous to mention.
Jim Wisker's 1967 XL came with the factory 390 and four speed trans; power disc brakes; power steering; in dash A/C bucket seats and console. The 390 was rebuilt with a CompCams 270H cam; Crane rockers F- 427 intake; BG Speed Demon 650 carb; FPA headers into 2 1/2" exhaust w/ 40 series Delta flows. Hooking the power to the trans is a Center Force Dual friction clutch. Shifting is handled by a Hurst Competition Plus shifter. Wheels are 15" X 8" Magnum 500's all the way around.
Bob Plowmans 1966 is an original 428 "Q" code LTD car (not a 7 Litre) . Carb is a single 600 cfm Holley. Cam is the old 406 solid lifter cam with 276 duration. Tranny is a C-6 w/ 4 clutch hi/rev, but still has the old Cruiso - D1 - D2 valve body. Bob does all his own engine, body and transmission work.
Tom "Muddoag" owns this 65 powered by a 390 w/ 352 badges. A 428 is on the build.
Dan Bell's '63 Ford "Texas Thunder" Driven by Mark Artis (pictured). It's a 474 side oiler w/ Edelbrock heads; Venolia pistons; Scat crank, Eagle rods using a Tunnel Wedge Medium Riser setup with their "Lucille" engine power down through their Texas Thunder/Boninfante clutch; Jerico trans w/5.00 gears.
