Mike Jackson
1943 - 2004
Rest In Peace Mike. Your friends miss you.
On 2/28/2004 at 5:15 AM the world lost one of it's most respected and knowledgable Blue Oval Brothers to complications from cancer. Some of the old-timers may remember him from his early racing days when he campaigned his 1963 1/2 Galaxie powered by a 427 called "White Lightning." Others may remember his '61 Starliner called "The Gray Ghost." It was also powered by a 427. Then of course there is the beautiful "cammer" powered 1962 Galaxie 500 XL pictured here. Mike had a way with the FE engine that most of us wish we had, and a natural born talent with cammers that most of us can only dream about. His friends called him "Mr. Cammer." To quote his friend Greg Capes from musclecarcalendar.com : "I'm sure a lot of you will read this, look at the picture and just see an older distinguished gentleman that has a nice car. What you will never see is the hard work, knowledge and fantastic personality behind the picture and for that I feel very sorry for everyone as there was so much more to this great man than just a hot car."  I regret that I have never had the opportunity to meet this gentleman as I would love to have sat under his tutelage and tap the vast knowledge of FE motors this man was blessed with.

Cecile and I would like to thank Greg and the rest of the fine folks at
