Brian Gray is the proud owner of this beautifully restored 1966 Fairlane GT.
It is in the process of receiving  a 468 c.i.d. (427 bored & stroked) Genesis motor from Duffee Motorsports in Pheonix, AZ.  The 390 and four speed tranny were removed on October 25th in preparation for the new mill. Duffee Motorsports also installed Baer disc brakes on all four corners. This car has been a daily driver for ten years. The rear is a 9" w/ limited slip. It turned a best of 15.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile with the 390 with quite a bit of wheel hop if he hits the throttle too soon. I see some traction devices in the future for this car. Brian plans to spend the next two years fixing, replacing and refreshing the things time has done to his pride and joy. Bless him Lord.
Here are a couple of Fairlane GT's from the corral of Bob Plowman.
The yellow '67 Fairlane has a 427 MR with 2-715 Holleys; a reproduction 324 degree solid lifter cam and a C-6 with 5 clutch hi/rev; shift kit and still has the column shifter as the car came with no console, but is a GTA.

The green 66 GTA has a 390 (the original engine from the yellow Fairlane) with a 750 Holley on a Streetmaster manifold; mild Crane hydraulic cam and a C-6 Trans with 4 clutch hi/rev, shift kit, floor shift w/ console.
Bob does all of his own engine/transmission/body/paint work on his cars and boats.

Chris Whitney's 1967 Fairlane 500 "Daddy's Dream"
At age 13 this was his 1st car, it was the car he used to drive to high school. Then one day he decided to go drag racing. It started out as a 390 car and after 8 years of research & development work, it became the record holder in F/Stock at 10.79 sec. @ 122 mph. He held the record from 2000 to 2004 with the 390. He set the record in 2001 in B/Stock at 10.31 sec. then reset that record again to 10.16 @ 132 mph. Two years later he also held the record in B/Stock from 2001 - 2005, same car 2 records. He currently races the car  in Division 7 Stock Eliminator in Southern California.
